Join us for an online training session on 11 February, 6.30pm to 8pm, to develop your understanding of how to survey adders and help contribute valuable data to the North Pennines National Landscape’s ‘Adders Up’ project.
During the online webinar participants will learn how to safely and effectively survey for adders, how to identify and sex adders, and how to limit disturbance. They will also learn about their conservation status and threats as well as the current knowledge baseline of adders in the North Pennines.
There will be many opportunities in the future to join as volunteer adder surveyors for the North Pennines National Landscape.
Participants will also learn how to identify the other reptiles and amphibians found in the North Pennines.
The online session is open to all with the aim of adults (older children with adults) capable of surveying in the field in the future. Volunteer opportunities in the upcoming adder surveys are in April and May and are subject to having attended the online session.
There are also in person adder survey training sessions in March.
Book your place using the link to Ticketsource.
