A one-day workshop to learn all about adders and how to survey for them. This course will be led by John Grundy, vice chair and field training officer for the North East Reptile & Amphibian Group. Participants will spend the morning indoors, looking at landscapes and key features for adders within them, plus reptile behaviour and ecology. This will be followed by an outdoors session practising survey techniques, discussing survey methods and pinpointing key habitat features. The course is suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced naturalists who wish to develop their adder survey skills.
