There are several species of metalliferous plants that are found in the North Pennines National Landscape. They grow on old mine sites where there are high concentrations of lead. Over the last few months artist, Carole McCourt, has been sharing her love of metalliferous plants with school children, community groups, youth groups and artists. Together they have made drawings, prints and written poetry about these special plants.
Drop-in and join us as we celebrate their work at High Forest Community Centre, Sinderhope, on Saturday 12 September, 1pm to 4pm.
After the opening event, the exhibition will open by invitation only, please contact Carole McCourt on 07772619465.
Disabled parking is available. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible toilet.
