Join us for family fun at RSPB Geltsdale this half term to make a bird’s bed and breakfast.
Using recycled and natural materials, we will make and decorate bird houses as well as prepare some tasty treats to leave in the garden for them to eat. These wildlife friendly crafts can be taken away to encourage wildlife to use your garden or local green space.
RSPB Geltsdale is home to many types of bird that call the uplands their home. There will be chances to do some simple bird spotting and enjoying the reserve, and there is the opportunity to stay for longer and explore once the session is over.
We will meet in the main car park at 1pm and walk to the visitor centre. The walk will take approximately 30 minutes across a gravel track. Please dress appropriately for an outdoor walk that may be muddy or wet.
Access to the visitor centre by car is available for those with mobility problems – please contact us for details.
Booking essential as places limited, please click here to book.
