Join us for a family friendly practical session collecting bird cherry seeds from a site near Middleton-in-Teesdale on Tuesday 20 August, 1pm to 4pm.

The seeds collected will be used to grow local provenance trees at our tree and wildflower nursery at Bowlees Visitor Centre. Bird cherry is a small, widely distributed deciduous tree. Bees and hoverflies visit the flowers and birds gorge on the berries in the late summer.

The volunteer activity is suitable for all ages, children must be supervised by an adult. The exact location will be sent 48 hours prior to the event.

Sign up using the volunteer platform Better Impact.
