Get involved in shaping a new sculpture trail around Middleton-in-Teesdale and join us for a free, hands-on planning session at UTASS, on Saturday 21 March, 11.30 to 7.30pm.

This practical session is for anyone interested in helping to design, plan and establish the proposed trail. Building on ideas gathered during the public consultation on 28 February, the day will focus on route planning, choosing sculpture locations, developing themes and learning how to safely and responsibly set up trails in the landscape. No prior experience required – guidance and support will be provided throughout.

The artist will also be 3D scanning those who have volunteered to be scanned for a sculpture. The day will run as a flexible, workshop-style event, allowing participants to drop-in for part or all of the day, depending on interest and availability. Project staff will be on hand throughout to support discussion, planning and practical decision-making.

Please book 30 minute slots via the Ticketsource link

This event is part of the North Pennines National Landscape’s project, the Land of Lead & Silver Project’s work to celebrate and share the rich landscape, history and heritage of the Middleton-in-Teesdale area through new ways of exploring the North Pennines.
