Join our community engagement staff at Bowlees Visitor Centre to find out about their new citizen science project – seasonal sights and sounds. Delivered as part of the Tees-Swale: naturally connected programme, the project invites you to record sightings of species such as curlew and spring gentian to help monitor seasonal changes. We will share some handy identification tips and demonstrate the iNaturalist mobile app (you may wish to download the app at home before coming as the signal at Bowlees is limited). Local photographer Joanne Coates will be on hand to give advice on photographing your sightings.

No need to book – this is a drop-in session running from 10 am to 2 pm. Please wear warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy shoes as we will be outdoors.
