Celebrating geology and Geoparks
Every year Geoparks across Europe host events and activities as part of European Geoparks Week. The celebration week involves over 50 Geoparks. The North Pennines AONB and UNESCO Global Geopark organises a programme of events to appeal to families, geology enthusiasts and those who simply want to understand more about the geo-heritage of this fascinating area.
