Knitting the Serpentine
Knitting the Serpentine was developed through Adders Up, a project led by the North Pennines National Landscape team and funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The work celebrates the wildlife, habitats and cultural stories of the North Pennines National Landscape. The adder is one of the most distinctive species of the area, recognised by its bold zigzag markings and its quiet, elusive presence in the uplands.
