Geology Walk: Widdybank Fell for European Geoparks Week

This is a joint event with Moor House-Upper Teesdale National Nature Reserve. This guided walk takes us along the nature trail to explore the unique geology of Upper Teesdale. Learn how it has shaped the landscape and created special habitats for rare species. Keep eyes peeled for fossilised sea creatures, abandoned mines and the unusual sugar limestone.

The walk will follow an easy, surfaced 3 mile route and wheelchair access can be arranged easily.

Please meet at Cow Green Reservoir car park (NY810309) and bring warm, weatherproof clothing and a snack.
