Join staff from Kew Gardens Millennium Seed Bank for a seed colleting training afternoon, 8 September, 12.30pm to 5pm.

You will learn how to identify when seeds are ready to be collected, how to collect seeds responsibly, how seeds are prepared and stored, and the importance of seed collecting for conservation efforts.

The training will be outdoors and involve walking in order to collect seeds from plants such as devil’s-bit scabious and native lady’s mantle species.

Outdoor clothing to be worn, please bring waterproofs and wear sturdy shoes. Suitable for all ages, children must be supervised by an adult.
