Calling all creatives

Calling all creatives

Would you like to exhibit at the North Pennines National Landscape’s Bowlees Visitor Centre in Upper Teesdale in 2027? Our upstairs gallery space is a place to showcase artistic talent of all kinds, inspired by the special qualities of the North Pennines National Landscape and UNESCO Global Geopark.

We are interested in art that explores and reflects the landscape, but also in creative work that stimulates conversation and debate about upland landscapes and nature, including geology and earth heritage and challenges in the uplands.

The gallery also has space in July 2026 to exhibit work by up to five artists, each sharing the space to exhibit their work.

As ever, we’re open to all forms of visual art, as long as the work is inspired by or connected to the themes of our work or the things that make this landscape special. Submissions from individuals or groups of artists are welcomed.

For more information, please contact Jane Hayes (jane@northpennines.org.uk).
