Loading Events

A practical session involving removing and incinerating invasive Pirri Pirri burr on Eggleston Common on 16 November from 10am – 13.30pm. Suitable for ages 13+, under 18s would need to be supervised by an adult.

Participants will be required to wear disposable overalls and latex gloves in order to prevent further spread of the plant. We will be working over a 500m stretch of track at 450m latitude.

Please bring warm waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear. A change of clothes may come in handy at the end of the day.

Hot drinks and snacks will be provided at the end of the event. If you would like to stay for lunch, please bring this along with you as well as water/extra snacks.
