Celebrate the North Pennines Stargazing Festival with guided stargazing and astronomy, arts and crafts, and an enchanting, evening sing-along. Suitable for children aged five years and above, with facts, food and fun for everyone.
Experience the magic of the dark, Teesdale night at Bowlees Farm and learn about the night sky with local astronomer from Go Stargazing, Neill Sanders, as he guides you through the starry sky.
Get a closer look, with the opportunity to use high-tech telescopes and see the night in a new light. Note that live stargazing is obviously dependent on suitable sky and weather conditions.
Listen to the tranquil music of Durham University Flute Choir while you sit under the stars. Gather around the warmth of the fire pit with local singer, Tabby Michelin, as she leads a celestial sing-along. Toast marshmallows and fill up on homemade soup and bread, all included in the ticket price.
Create arts and crafts to take home with you, inspired by fascinating nocturnal nature and the beautiful night sky.
