We have some ‘out of this world’ activities for half term this week at Bowlees Visitor Centre as part of the North Pennines Stargazing Week 2020. These are self-guided activities for children and families and will help you have lots of dark sky-themed fun.

Moon Trail

Our self-guided half term trail this holiday is a ‘Moon Trail’ as part of the North Pennines Stargazing Week 2020. Come along with your family and explore the woods around Bowlees Visitor Centre. Follow the trail around the site, taking you on an exciting journey to the moon. As you follow the trail you’ll pick up clues in the form of letters – spell out the word and you’ll receive a starry surprise.

Pick up your instruction leaflet at the visitor centre – 50p per child. Available during opening hours (10am to 4pm) from 24 October to 1 November.
